Character Race. This section will likely be modified many times, not due to changing information, but adding it. I will be listing web pages here in correlation with the charatcer race, except for Humans. Because if you don't know anything about humans, you...well...need to take a break from RP. Here is a webpage that will help with learning about character races (among other things) www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/sovelior_sage/races.html
Humans- Look in a mirror
Elves- There are 4 main races of elves, and 2 specialty. High Elves, which are the most common race on the planet. They are your basic elf. The Drow, which are also called Dark Elves, and they are the evil worshipers of the sel-proclaimed Goddess Lolth, the spider queen. They live in an underground world called The Underdark. There are no queens in the underdark, and the women rule over the men. Grey elves are the scholars of the elven world. They stay in the holy cities in the time of SRIF, in libraries, or in their own cities. They use slave elves (drow, high elf, and Sylvan) which are not technically slaves, to defend their cities. The slaves are treated very well, and generally love their life and masters. Sylvan elves are tribal elves who live in dense forests. These days you would not be likely to find them living on this continent, and it would be unknown if any exist outside the Grey Elf cities, or elsewhere, living as a slave. The two specialty are Avariel, which are winged elves and Aqutic elves. Obviously, aquatic elves would only live in the oceans, and it would not be known if they exist. They cannot leave the water, so they are not a playable race. Avariel are very rare, winged elves. They live in the mountains, and generally do not associate with anyone besides avariel elves (you need to ask to rp an avariel elf, because I will only allow a certain number of them).
Half-Elves - Generally human-elf, rarely dragon-elf, never anything else. Elves do not like to breed outside of the elven race, and in most cases, cannot.
Dwarves- Hearty race which dwells mainly in the mountains.
Anthro - Animal-like races. NOT CAT BOY/GIRL. petalwater.proboards42.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1136920222
Dragon- There are 4 sub classifications of dragons. Chromatic, Metallic, Gemstone, and Specialty. Chromatics are basic colors (red, black, white, etc.) and are chaotic evil. Metallic are metallic (gold, silver, bronze, etc.) and are chaotic good. Gemstone are gem-related (amethyst, diamond, emerald), and are Neutral. There are specialty dragons, which are Turtle Dragon, Rainbow Dragon, Dracholich, and one that has fae wings. Specialty will NOT be played. Turtles dragons would not likely have survived the drought, Rainbow dragons were too rare to begin with. Dracoliches are created and are too powerful, plus they need to be created by a powerful sorcerer, and we're going to avoid all of that. The ones with fae wings we're also going to avoid because 1) I don't know enough about them personally, but also 2) I don't know what they're even called. I need to look them up in the book.
Demon- Demons...until after the meeting on January 31st, I will not be explaining the demons of D&D.
Lycanthropes- Lycanthropes are not a race, but many think they are, so I've listed them here. Lycanthropy is a disease or curse. Does not change your character's race. petalwater.proboards42.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1136744996
Vampire- Vampires are not a race, but again, people think they are. It's a disease or curse. Does not change your character's race. petalwater.proboards42.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1137013590
